From the Mountains of the Moon to your cup - honestly.

Uganda's Mount Rwenzori - the Mountains of the Moon - rises to over 5,000 metres above the equator. Its four peaks give us our name. Its altitude, volcanic soil, and equatorial mist give Ugandan arabica its character: clean, complex, and unlike anything grown at lower elevation.

But 4 Peaks is not just named for a mountain. It is named for what that mountain represents - the idea that where coffee comes from matters, and that the people who grow it deserve more than what they usually get.

Coffee has run through my family for three generations, from the hills of southwestern Uganda to a small farm in Mpigi that my mother still tends today.

I came to Australia carrying all of that history. And the more I understood the specialty coffee market here, the more clearly I saw the same problem my family had always lived with on the other side: the farmers who grow exceptional coffee rarely see fair value for it.

4 Peaks was built to work on that gap. I source from Ugandan exporters I know and trust, roast small-batch in Australia, and work to build supply relationships that flow more value back to the people at origin. The four peaks of Rwenzori - Margherita, Alexandra, Savoia, and Elena - each name a roast in our range, from our brightest light to our most intense espresso.
